Cecil Lee Darnell, 82 year-old resident of Doniphan, Missouri, died Friday, October 25, 2013, in the Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan.
Mr. Darnell was born October 8, 1931, in Buckhorn. He was a self-employed farmer and attended the First Assembly of God Church in Doniphan. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
On March 26, 1969, in St. Louis, Missouri, he was married to Eula Fay McKinney. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Dale Darnell and wife, Barbara of Neodesha, Kansas; daughter, Barbara Lompstin and husband, Donald of Piedmont, Missouri; and sister, Babe Trondle of St. Louis, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by brothers James, Lonnie, Glenn, and Harvey; and sisters Jewel, Jerry, and Irene.
Funeral services for Mr. Darnell will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 28, 2013 at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Davis officiating. Visiting will begin at noon on Monday. Burial will be in the Pratt Cemetery.
