Bertha Mae Wyatt, 79, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at the Westwood Hills Healthcare in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Mrs. Wyatt, daughter of William Carl and Nona Earl (Wilson) Capper, was born February 4, 1934, in Poplar Bluff. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, raising flowers, embroidering and making quilts. Mrs. Wyatt was a member of the West Doniphan Community Church. She was married to O. V. Wyatt and he preceded her in death. Surviving are one daughter, Barbara (and Glenn) Millwood of Doniphan and two sons, Jimmy Scott of Pevely, Missouri, and Gary Scott of Poplar Bluff; three sisters, Shirley Hall of Doniphan, Margaret Brewer of Fairdealing, Missouri, and Mary Mitchell of Cross Plains, Texas; one brother, Elmer Capper of Poplar Bluff; ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, David Allen Scott; one grandson, Billy Scott; one great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Louise Scott; two sisters, Velma Jenkins and Alene Williams; and one brother, Junior "Bill" Capper. Visitation will begin Sunday, May 26, 2013, at l:00 p.m. and the funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m., all in the Edwards Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Towles Cemetery. Officiating will be Brother George "Tom" Arnold.
