Raymond Nierman, Jr., 62, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Monday, April 29, 2013, at his residence in rural Doniphan.
Mr. Nierman, son of Raymond and Betty (Wilson) Nierman, Sr. was born November 18, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, cooking and canning. Mr. Nierman attended Briar Missionary Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U. S. Army, having served in Korea and Vietnam.
On July 25, 1992, he was married to Linda Hyde in Doniphan and she survives.
Also surviving are eight children: Shannon Latham of Hayes, Virginia, Julie Swigert and Katie Kelly, both of Doniphan, Dustin Reagan and Raymond Lee Nierman, both of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; Megan Nierman and Tina Barton,both of Doniphan; and Nickie Hopkins of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three brothers, Scott Nierman of St. Louis, Missouri, Steve Nierman of Kansas and Tim Nierman of Doniphan; two sisters, Shirley Barton of Doniphan and Kim Evans of Kansas; and 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Erickia Reagan.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening, May 2, 2013, from 5 - 8 p.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will start Friday afternoon, May 3, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Kevin Faughn officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Cemetery in Briar, Missouri.
