On Sunday, April 28, 2013, William "Bill" Albert Wilson, Jr., said his final farewell to this world at the Walnut Ridge Nursing Home Center in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. He was 88 years of age. He was born July 21, 1924, at Pine, Missouri, to the late William Albert and Edna (Smith) Wilson, Sr. Everyone who knew Bill will never forget the joy and laughter he brought to their lives. Bill will be lovingly remembered by children: daughter Jan Simon and husband, Jim, of Indiana, son Steve Wilson and wife, Karen, of Indiana, son Bill Wilson and wife, Brenda of Missouri, daughter Sharon Baker and husband, Scott, of Missouri, son Boyd Wilson and wife, Deborah, of Missouri, and son Oney Wilson and wife, Tammy, of Mississippi. Bill was a grandfather to 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was also a brother to Myrt Carter and Wilma Plank. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Mark Wilson on October 6, 1977, and several brothers and sisters. Bill was a beloved father, grandfather, father-in-law, uncle and brother and he will be missed. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bee-keeping, anything outdoors and singing. He was of the Baptist faith. The family invites you to join them in the celebration of Bill's life. The visitation will take place Tuesday evening, April 30, 2013, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow Wednesday afternoon, May 1, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. in the Edward Funeral Home chapel with Brother Alan Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Cemetery near Briar.
