Obituary of Sr. Dunlap

Mart Dunlap, Sr., 81, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at his residence in rural Ripley County. Mr. Dunlap, son of the late Clifford and Gertie (Alexander) Dunlap, was born February 13, 1932. He had been a truck driver, a police officer, had worked in the oil fields and was later self-employed in auto sales. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and auto body work. Mr. Dunlap was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was married to his wife, Margie Crumley, for 58 years and she survives. Also surviving are three children; Mart (and Diana) Dunlap, Jr. of Doniphan, Regina (and Ken) Kearbey of Camdenton, Missouri, and Sterling (and Louise Ann) Dunlap of Odessa, Texas; three sisters, Evelyn, Peggy and Darlene; four brothers, Don, Cliff, Rodney and Cranston; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandchild. Visitation will begin at noon Friday, April 19, 2013, at the Current River Baptist Church in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary with Brother Wes Flaugh officiating. Burial will be in the Towles Cemetery.
