Kathy Dianna Straughn, 48, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at the Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan.
Ms. Straughn, daughter of Charles E. and Carol A. (Waters) Walker, was born October 2, 1964, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was a homemaker. Ms. Straughn enjoyed fishing and nature and loved animals. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Jessica Dawn Durbin of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her parents, Charles and Carol Walker of Doniphan; one sister, LaDawna Gambling of Tipton, Missouri; one brother, Charles W. Walker of Grand Isle; four uncles, Michael, William, Willie and Darrell; seven aunts, Sharon, Janice, Lula Bell, Darline, Barb, Wanda and Debbie; two nephews, Joseph and Matthew, and two nieces, Cougar and Jamy.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, William F. and Betty Waters, paternal grandparents, Earl J. and Vanna V. Walker; and one uncle, David Waters.
Visitation will be Saturday morning, February 9, 2013, starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Edward Funeral. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Kent Wilfong officiating. Burial will be in the Towles Cemetery.
