Hester E. Hudson
Hester E. Hudson, 94, of Gatewood, Missouri, died Sunday, September 23, 2007, at her residence.
Mrs. Hudson was born June 15, 1913, in Ozark County, Missouri. She enjoyed cooking, fishing and collecting dolls.
On April 22, 1944, she was married to Bill Hudson at Pocahontas, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on June 14, 1982.
Mrs. Hudson is survived by three sons, Joe (and Jenny)Hudson of Doniphan, L. W. (and Mary Jean) Guthrie of Quinlan, Texas, and Duke (and Judy) Hudson of Bloomfield; two daughters, Sara Louise Gowen of Poplar Bluff and Sue (and Willie) Beal of Gatewood; fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and special friends, Nancy, Dutch and Tammy.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, W. C. Moore and one daughter, Rubie Powell; her parents Hiram Lamberson and Bertie Anderson Lamberson; one brother, Clifton Lamberson; and one sister, Rosie Clark.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 26, 2007, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Thursday, September 27, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Brother J. R. Bruce officiating. Burial will follow in the Ponder Cemetery.
