Obituary of Aaron Price Hatfield

Please share a memory of Aaron to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Aaron Price Hatfield, 33, of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Sunday, March 17, 2024. He was born April 27, 1990, in Poplar Bluff, MO, to Tom Hatfield and Melissa (Price) Hatfield.

Aaron pursued his interest in criminal justice by attending Three Rivers College, where he graduated with an associates degree in criminal justice. He also graduated from SEMO Law Enforcement Academy. This combined training led him to serve as a security guard at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, where he received the Hospital Hero Award in 2015 for his valor. Aaron’s heart followed that of his family’s with a love of the outdoors. He loved spending time on Current River with his family and friends, hiking, exploring, and traveling to view the majesty of beautiful deserts, mountains, and beaches. Aaron possessed a great love for his family and found joy in spending time at the family farm where he was raised. He enjoyed listening to music and often pondered philosophy. Aaron had a knack for sharing his light-heartedness by readily telling jokes and playing pranks at just the right time. He also had a special place in his heart for all animals and dedicated time and resources to his rescue calling.

Surviving are his parents, Tom Hatfield and Melissa Hatfield, both of Doniphan; brothers, Eric (Silvia) Hatfield, of Poplar Bluff, MO, and Adam Hatfield of Doniphan; paternal grandmother, Ruby Hatfield of Doniphan; and maternal grandparents, Don and Linda Reis of Doniphan.

Aaron was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Max Hatfield; maternal great-grandmother, Thelma Price; paternal aunt, Kathy Hatfield Whiteside; and dear childhood friend, Ethan Schrimscher.
