Obituary of Mia Aliza Payne

Mia Aliza Payne, 16, of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Sunday, September 3, 2023. She was born December 18, 2006, in Poplar Bluff, MO, the daughter of Scott Payne and the late Rachel Todd and was blessed with many parents to love and adore her. They include Scott Payne and Annya Hart, Kathy and Carl Harp, Jeff and Judy Hale, and Lindsey Roberson.

Mia’s smile would light up the room and her laughter caused others to smile. She brightened the day of those around her. Mia enjoyed spending time on Current River, fishing, and hunting. She loved animals. Talented in arts and crafts, Mia took pleasure in creating many beautiful items. She also liked to garden.

Surviving are her sisters, Faith Hill, Deni Hill (William) Nance, Hunter Mathis, Stormy Hill, Tesla Payne, and Vivian Payne, all of Doniphan; brothers, Gunner Hill of New Mexico, Brandon Tristen of Dallas, TX, Shawn Ford of Campbell, and Johnny Payne of Doniphan; great-grandmothers, Willa Harp and Linda Caldwell; great-grandparents, AB and Kay Hale; and aunt, Jamie Thompson; as well as many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 9, 2023, beginning at noon with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Carl Harp will be officiating, and burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery.
