Obituary of Tara Nicole Patrick

On August 5, 2023, the world lost one of the greatest God has ever created.  Tara Nicole Patrick was 45 years old when she passed away due to complications from stage 4 stomach cancer.  In 2022, when Tara received her diagnosis, she saw it as a quest to peace, gratitude, and love.  She said that it would allow her to become open and lean into all that God had for her.  She sought healing through discovering the rawness of who she “is” to her core.  She never gave up hope and never stopped living.  Her family and friends are eternally grateful for the memories shared throughout her beautiful life because of her strength, courage, love, and belief in God.  

Born to stand out, Tara was a unique and genuine soul.  When you met her, you were instantly drawn in. She had a way of bringing out the best in others.  She was friends with everyone she met, while staying true to who she was.  Tara had a passion for health and wellness and made it her life’s work to help others in their healing.  She was an explorer who loved being in nature and with those she loved.  She enjoyed traveling the world, meeting new people, and soaking in all that each adventure brought.  

Tara is survived by her mother, Norma Patrick; sister, Dani Patrick James; brother, Michael Patrick; nephews, Drew James, Caden James, Hopper James; nieces, Amelia James, Palyn Patrick, Lily Patrick, Addie James, and her beloved Ananda. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert (Bob) Patrick.

Tara’s favorite poet, Rumi, said, “Goodbyes are only for those who live with their eyes because for those who love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation.” So, let’s honor her memory and follow her wisdom to live life fully in each moment with as much gratitude and love as we can.  

Join us in celebrating her life, Saturday, August 19th at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan MO from 11-1:00 pm.  The funeral will immediately follow with her burial at Towels Cemetery.
