Georgeann Alice Purcell, 77, of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Monday, June 26, 2023. She was born June 15, 1946, in Eau Claire, WI, to the late George Everett and Maralyn Ann (Kins) Flynn.

 

Georgeann was fond of her years working as a CNA, especially her time on the pediatric wing. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and working puzzle books. She loved the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Georgeann was of the Baptist faith.

 

On March 5, 1964, Georgeann married George Purcell. He preceded her in death on April 21, 2005. She was also preceded by a sister Jacqueline M’Ree Godden.

 

Surviving are her daughters, Carolyn (John) Meeks of Doniphan, Cheryl (Jason) McKinney of Amarillo, TX, and Elizabeth Crader of Doniphan; a sister, Barbara Roberts of Riverside, CA; six grandchildren, Adam (Amanda) Purcell, Alexandrea Wheeler, Garrett (Erica) Wheeler, Molly Wheeler, December Crader, and Jackson Wheeler; and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

 

Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, on Saturday, July 1, 2023, beginning at 9:00 a.m. with the funeral service following at 11:00 p.m. Pastor Callum Reavey will be officiating, and burial will be in Shirley Cemetery.
