Dear Angel and Starla and family: I am so terribly sorry to hear about Shayla and also sorry I could not attend the services. Bob is not well and although we had traveled to Iowa to see family there, it was not possible to make the trip to Doniphan too. We just returned to Texas this afternoon. I have known Jaren Allison ever since we were very young. We grew up in the same neighborhood. Jaren was that likable guy who was friends with everyone. As we get older and like goes on, people lose touch and so I hadn't the pleasure of ever meeting Shayla but if she won Jaren's heart and love then I'm certain she was an amazing woman. Death makes Angels of us all and I know that, like a star, Shayla's wonderful spirit will illuminate the heavens for all those who love her. God bless you all.

Every day is a new day to make the best of what God gave us. Sometimes it it good, sometimes it is bad. God gives us a road to follow where He wants us to be. How we take that road is the challenge we all face. Asking God for direction each step is the best way to get where He wants us. He has chosen to bring Shayla home with others that have gone before us. She sings and rejoices with family and the Angels of Heaven and to rejoice as in time as we join her. we can only ask God for strength to understand and have faith in God for His plan for all of us. Shayla will be greatly missed by family and friends. Prayers for family as the new journey goes on without her. Shayla, You will be greatly missed by all that you have blessed.

My heart breaks for the entire family in this time. I grew up with Shayla right there in the same house our parents are still living in. We had grew apart over the years but we still cared for each other. We were childhood friends that's just how it works. But Shayla was a great person and loved her children very much.
