Letch J. Tipton, Jr., lovingly known throughout the area as Junior, departed this life on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the age of 94, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. He was born June 4, 1931, in Grandin, MO, to the late Letch Franklin and Lillian (Bryd) Tipton.

Junior had proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he established his career based on duty and patriotism. During his years in the Air Force, he served during both the Vietnam and Korean Wars. After retirement, Junior came back to his home and area he loved and established his used car dealership, Juniors Auto Sales, beginning a new chapter of his life. He attended Good Hope Church. Junior took pride in his business, successfully growing it, making friends, and building relationships. He will be remembered for his dedication to his country, his love of his hometown, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him.

Junior married Margaret Rose (Bolton) Tipton. She preceded him in death on February 12, 2003. He was also preceded by his brothers, Dennis, Odell, Bobby, and Dale Tipton, and a sister, Juanita Knapp.

Surviving are his sons, Ed Tipton, of Poplar Bluff, MO and Steve Tipton of Grandin, and a sister, Maybell Boyer of St. Louis. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Good Hope General Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Brother Pete Joplin and Brother Tim Tipton will be officiating. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery.
