Ronald Gene Robertson, 84, of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Monday, January 19, 2026. He was born August 19, 1941, in Palmyra, MO, to the late Roy and Ethel (Coleman) Robertson.
Ronnie spent many years as a dedicated truck driver for Reed Oil Company, where he delivered fuel to people’s homes throughout the area serving the people he met along the way. A lover of animals, Ronnie held a special affection for horses and dogs. He especially enjoyed the excitement of rodeo competitions. One of his favorite pastimes was taking his dogs to Fox Pen where he liked to listen to them run. Ronnie also enjoyed attending auctions where he liked to find useful and interesting items for his home and property.
On May 15, 1981, Ronnie married Hermmena (Howard) Robertson in Doniphan. She survives. Also surviving is his daughter, Deanna (Donald) Burns of Doniphan; sisters, Loretta Epperson of Festus, MO, Phyllis Robertson of Doniphan, Cindy (Jim) Gray of Ellsinore, MO, and Pamela Robertson of Doniphan; and his brothers. Herbert (Angella) Robertson and Carl Robertson, all of Doniphan. He also leaves behind a granddaughter, Brandi (Jon); three great-grandchildren, Jayden, Payton, and Laney; and four special nieces, Stephanie Steinkuehler, Brittany Roberson, Keshia Watkins, and Bridget McElhaney, along with many other nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his special dog, Princess.
Along with his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his sisters, Bonnie Robertson and Joyce Muse, and three brothers, Donald, J. T., and Danny Robertson.
Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 22, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Walt Wells will be officiating, and burial will be in Union Cemetery.
