Ronald (Ronnie) Lewis Dawes, 81, of Doniphan, MO, passed away on January 5, 2026, at his home in Doniphan.

Ronnie was born in Wellston, MO to Lewis Dawes and Dorothy (Stein) Dawes on March 22, 1944. He went to Doniphan High School and graduated. He built houses in Doniphan and worked as a mechanic in St. Louis, Sullivan, Rolla, and Doniphan, MO and Colorado Springs, CO at various times. He was a colporteur in Seventh-day Adventist literature sales for 10 years. He owned Dawes' Auto Clinic and worked as a mechanic for 26 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, exploring the Colorado mountains, and witnessing for Jesus. He was a member of the Doniphan Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Patti (Jones) Dawes of Doniphan, son, Gary Dawes of Doniphan, daughter, Lisa (Darrell) Mitchell of Ste. Genevieve, MO, daughter, Christy (Eric) Inskip of Hartsburg, MO, grandson, Kody Mitchell of Ste. Genevieve, granddaughter, Brianna Dawes of Moberly, sister, Goldie Diehl of St. Louis, brother, Dennis Dawes of Doniphan, and seven nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Lewis Dawes, mother, Dorothy Dawes, and brother, Bill Dawes.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Comfort Care Home Health Agency and Legacy Hospice.
