My Big Brother had the most caring loving soul. Some of my favorite times and places to spend time with him was church and the shop. I would go on Saturdays to the shop and I loved helping him do whatever or we set and talk he always was concerned about whatever was going on in my life. I would get good advise he would share stories with me of how he learned how to handle people places and things. Then on Sunday morning we would meet at church . I always be looking soon as I pulled in if he was sitting there by the door and if at all able he was there he made me feel comfortable and at ease I seemed to be calmer if he was there with me we sat together and learned about our saver Jesus Christ those were very special times for me. I love you Brother you go fly high till we meet again.

I remember a friend and a brother-in-law who was always a friend. Have been with everyone mentioned in his memories. My sister was a part of his life that I think was the best of times. I was lucky to find a best friend for witch I still hold dear. The open homes of the families was always home to me. My best time with my brother.... In law lol. Was just knowing that he cared. Please say a prayer people..... Heavens going to need it... Rest my brother, will miss you

I am so sorry to hear of Gene's passing. I have a lot of memories as a kid playing at Grandma & Grandpa Melton's house with him. Visited him a few years ago and he was so warm and welcoming. I hate that he had to suffer so much. God grant him eternal rest! Love and hugs to all his family especially my cousins.

Gene was center of our family . He loved us and talked to us at least once , most the time more daily. He always remembered to ask about whatever was going on with us . PRECIOUS AND I WILL MISS HIM GREATLY.
