Bobby Eugene “Bob” Looney, 90-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Thursday, December 18, 2025. He was born April 11, 1935, in Randolph County, AR, to the late Truman and Vera Marie (Baker) Looney.

Bob was a carpenter by trade and took pride in working with his hands. A hardworking man, he devoted much of his life to caring for the land he loved, gardening, raising cattle, and tending to all he had worked for so diligently. Bob appreciated the beauty of nature and the world around him and enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. Bob had also served in the United State Army.

June 26, 1955, Bob married Dorothy (Ponder) Looney. She preceded him in death on May 1, 2024. He was also preceded by a son, Robert Looney, and his sisters, Vernell Gilmer and Ann Dodge.

Surviving is his daughter, Sandra Wilson and husband, Kelly, of McCalla, AL, and his grandson, Tim Walton.

Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Brother Luther Abbott will be officiating. There will be a private burial.
