Kevin Leon Phelps, 70, of Naylor, MO, departed this life Saturday, November 29, 2025. He was born August 21, 1955, in Makanda, IL, to the late Harold and Eleanore (Rapier) Phelps.

A carpenter by trade, Kevin enjoyed the rewards of construction, building structures reflecting his craftsmanship. He also spent time working under the hood of a car. He found joy in improving the world around him. He cherished time spent with family, especially his grandchildren who were the light of his life.

On September 27, 1996, Kevin married Donna Crews in Grandin, MO. She preceded him in death on March 20, 2021. In addition to his wife and parents, Kevin was preceded in death by a sister, Glenda Phelps; his twin brother, Keith Phelps; and brothers, Phillip and Steve Phelps.

Surviving are his children, Glenda Phelps, Rick Phelps, Bobby Crews, and Josephine (Crews) Jackson; a sister, Carolyn Gloyd; and brothers, Glenn Phelps of Grandin, Harry Phelps, and Douglas Phelps. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Ricky Phelps, Samantha Ealey, Lukas Phelps, Jada Campbell, Kandis Crews, Dayvon Crews, Daysha Crews, Xander Crews, Isabel Trube, Kyra Crews, Haylee Crews, Kingston Crews, and Kayden Crews, and great-grandchildren, Xayne Crews, Ezekiel Crews, and Bonnie Trube.

Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, December 8, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery.
