Jonathan J. Jackson, 67-year-old resident of Fairdealing, MO, departed this life Monday, November 10, 2025, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born August 19, 1958, in Bellevue, Iowa to Olga (Graham) Gallion and the late Wilber Jackson.
Jonathan had worked for many years as a sawmill worker. Outside of work, he was an outdoorsman at heart. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and hiking and enjoying the beauty of nature that surrounded him. He loved his dogs, and they were more like family than pets. Jonathan especially loved barbecuing and sharing good food with family and friends. He also had a passion for antiquing and discovering treasures.
In addition to his mother, Olga, Jonathan is survived by his wife, Delcie (Parsons) Jackson. They had been together for 25 years and were married for the past four years. Also surviving is a daughter, Cheyenne Jackson of Corning, AR; two sons, Jonathan Dewayne Parsons and Alex Ray Slayton; sisters, Jennivee Vincent of Arizona, Jacki Holloway of Missouri, and Peggy Craig of Arkansas; and a brother, Rollo Gallion of Colorado. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Jonathan was preceded in death by his father, Wilber Jackson; his stepfather, Marvin Gallion; and brothers, Jeff Jackson, Ray Gallion, and Walter Gallion.
Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, November 14, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery at Oxly.
