Edward Ray Thompson, 71, of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Tuesday, November 4, 2025. He was born August 26, 1954, in Doniphan, MO, to the late Charles Ray and Billie Thompson.

Edward’s love for cars ran deep, whether he was working as an auto-body repairman or cruising in his ’77 Chevy Impala. He found joy in every detail. He also enjoyed spending time on the golf course with Tom and cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Edward attended the Doniphan United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his children, Amber Thompson of Fairdealing, Amanda and Mike Morton of Poplar Bluff, MO, and Bryan Thompson, also of Poplar Bluff; sisters, Paula Thompson of Marshfield, MO, and Donna Thompson of Oklahoma City, OK; and his grandchildren, Chase, Trenton, Landon, and Elliana.

Edward was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbie Thompson; a sister, Carol Thompson; brother, Stanley Thompson; and a granddaughter, Jacqueline.

A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
