Ralph Edward McClane, 83-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Friday, October 17, 2025, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. He was born January 29, 1942, in Mt. Carmel, IL, to the late Charles B. and Sybil (Hill) McClane.

After graduating from high school, Ralph proudly served in the United States Army as a member of the 1st Tank Battalion. His time in the military instilled in him a lifelong sense of duty and resilience. Following his honorable service, he went on to work in the oil fields and then to Caterpillar Tractor Company in Joliet, IL. Later Ralph made Doniphan his home and became a member of the Doniphan United Methodist Church.

On August 16, 1968, Ralph married Irene (Friant) in Joliet, IL, and she survives. Also surviving are his stepson, Michael Prodehl; stepdaughter, Marie (Prodehl) Muhr; his sisters, Carolyn Brown, Annabelle Lovelette, and Marie Hedrick; and brother, John McClane. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his grandson, Ryan Phillip Prodehl; brothers, Raymond, Tom, Don, and Michael McClane; and sister, Wilma Reisbeck.

The family will have a private memorial at a later date.
