Arthur David Sullivan, 95-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Friday, October 10, 2025. He was born May 14, 1930, in Mound City, IL to the late William Elmer and Ruby (Smith) Sullivan.
Arthur had proudly served in the United States Army, enlisting and beginning his service at the age of 17, after completing high school. As a self-employed electrician, Arthur enjoyed working with his hands. His talents extended beyond electrical work to home renovations and woodworking, pursuits he enjoyed throughout his life. Arthur will be remembered for his craftsmanship and strength.
On December 27, 1977, Arthur married Rhonda (Hinton) Sullivan in Dodge City, KS. She survives. Also surviving are his sons, Adam, David, and Michael Sullivan; his daughters, Michelle Smith and Cindy Stewart; and his sisters, Sylvia Larmore and Colline Becker. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Kathleen Sullivan; brothers, Odis Paul, Leonard, Carl, and John Sullivan; and sisters, Dorothy Stoner and Mary Mathis.
The family will have a private memorial at a later date.
