Lucinda “Cindy” Ann McGonigal, 64-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Monday, September 22, 2025, at Mercy Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.  She was born January 18, 1961, in Moline, IL, to the late Leroy Charles and Karen Leann (Englehaupt) Brower.

Cindy’s greatest joy was her family. Her love and loyalty were the foundation of everything she did. Whether she was vacationing in the mountains - especially in her favorite spot, Gatlinburg, TN - riding side-by-sides, or searching for hidden gens at flea markets, she found happiness in shared moments. She was known for her quick wit and playful spirit. Her sisters could always count on her for a laugh and a little mischief, as she delighted in giving them a “hard way to go” and the ruckus she had stirred up in a loving way. Cindy’s memory will live on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love she shared.

On June 30, 1980, Cindy married Irvin McGonigal in Poplar Bluff, MO. He preceded her in death. Later she found a life partner and companion for over 20 years with Charles Adams.

Surviving are her children, Jason McGonigal and Samantha (Tyler) Wilson, both of Doniphan; a stepson, Robbie Adams, also of Doniphan; a daughter adopted by love, Latasha (Gary) Goforth of Ellsinore; as well and many other children she claimed and loved as hers and who cherished time with Cindy and family. She also leaves behind two sisters, Rhonda (Lonnie) Barton of Park Hills, MO and Christina Brower of Poplar Bluff, MO; brothers, Steven Brower of Jefferson City, MO and Joe (Teresa) Brower of Doniphan; her grandchildren, Joseph McGonigal, Hali Adams, Laomi Wilson, Levi Wilson, and Michael Bohannon; and one great-grandchild, Esamay Whitaker.

Visitation will be in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
