Joyce Earlene (Braschler) Pepmiller was born June 12, 1941, to the late Weaver and Merlie (Halcomb) Braschler and departed this life Sunday, September 14, 2025. Joyce graduated from Doniphan High School in 1958 and from Arkansas State University in 1977. She retired from teaching Business Education at Doniphan High School in 1997.

Joyce was married to Fred B. Pepmiller on May 24, 1958. He survives. Also surviving are their three children, Kathy (Alan) Slayton, Roy (Sheila) Pepmiller, and Carolyn (Wilford) Bonnell; nine grandchildren, Gary (Heather) Slayton, Kristi (Shane) Lindsey, Fred (Julea) Pepmiller, Willie (Karie) Pepmiller, Samantha (Ben) Higgins, Joey (Lexi) Pepmiller, Jimmy Pepmiller, Matthew (Julie) O’Neal, and Sara (Ryan) Brown; and 18 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Dennis Braschler. She was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Russ O’Neal. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished her time with her family and loved nothing more than a houseful of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Joyce loved her church and was very active in the Doniphan First Church of God. She taught Sunday School and served as the Worship Leader for many years. Joyce also sang in the choir. She and Fred spent many years at Camp Sharon, Church of God State Youth Camp, where they worked to improve the facilities and enjoyed being on the lake and staying at Pepmiller’s Perch, their cabin on the lake. They loved to travel with friends and family and visited 49 states, Canada, and cruised to Alaska and Mexico.

Visitation will be held at the Doniphan First Church of God on Thursday, September 18, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at noon. Pastors Elijah Allen, Larry Bashaw, and Roy Pepmiller will be officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the First Church of God Building Fund.
