Charles Clay Boyer, 61, of Grandin, MO, departed this life Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center at Poplar Bluff, MO. He was born January 5, 1964, in St. Louis, MO, to the late Clay Cecil and Edith (Fisher) Boyer.
Charles was employed as a welder/fabricator in the St. Louis area where he skillfully created and assembled metal components. He later worked as a burner at Royal Oak Enterprises in Ellsinore, MO. There he was known as “One Hole Charlie”. When not working, Charles loved to spend time hunting and fishing.
On May 5, 1986, Charles married Susan (Harvell) Boyer. She survives. Also surviving is his son, Charles Hunter (Haley) Boyer of Poplar Bluff, MO; a sister, Glenda (Dale) Rongey; and a sister-in-law, Shirley (Fredrick) Boyer of Branson West, MO. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Adriel, Haze, Luke, Addy, and John
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Monroe Boyer.
Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Doniphan, MO, on Saturday, September 20, 2025, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at noon. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Carson Hill Cemetery, Mill Spring, MO.
