Charolette “Cricket” Joplin, 76-year-old resident of Grandin, MO, departed this life Monday, September 1, 2025. She was born November 3, 1948, to the late John and Eva Lee Joplin.

A talented beautician, Cricket had a lifelong appreciation for beauty - whether through her skilled hands styling hair or lovingly tending to her flower gardens. Cricket was also a talented cook, and it was a treat when family, friends, and neighbors were able to join her for a visit and enjoy her culinary skills. Sharing a meal at Cricket’s table was always a special occasion.

Although Cricket’s family circle was small, she was deeply loved by those around her.

She is survived by a daughter, Heidi Boggs of Doniphan, a sister, Judy Reynolds of Arizona, and many adoring relatives who cherish her memory.

In addition to her parents, Cricket was preceded in death by a daughter, Shanna Lane.

Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. There will be a private burial.
