Lonnie Dale Young, 63, of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born July 6, 1962, in Watervliet, MI, to the late Eugene Dale Young and Levana Fay (Blackwell) Glynn.

Lonnie was a skilled bricklayer by trade. In his free time, he enjoyed scrapping and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving is the love of his life, Charlotte Kelly of Doniphan; his children, Dwayne (Jamie) Young of Doniphan, MO, Michel Holman of Jonesboro, and Mitzi Warbington of Poplar Bluff, MO; sisters, Tina Blackwell of Doniphan and Maria (Dale) Deason of Naylor, MO; his brother, Johnny (Jackie) Mills of Texas; and a stepbrother, Charles Black of Texas. Also surviving are his seven grandchildren, Kaiden, Michael, Graclyn, Hunter, Ryker, Riverlyn, and Zyler and his bonus grandchildren, Cody, Caleb, Jacob, Bryleigh, and Isiah,

In addition to his parents, Lonnie was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Stroud and Christopher Glynn.

Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Chapel on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
