Lloyd Wilmer Chitwood, Jr., 75-year-old resident of Harviell, MO, departed this life Monday, July 28, 2025. He was born April 14, 1950, in Annapolis, MO, to the late Lloyd Chitwood Sr. and Lois (Brawley) Chitwood.

Lloyd proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. After his military service, he went on to work as a technician at Briggs and Stratton. A skilled carpenter, Lloyd appreciated and demonstrated craftsmanship, attention to details. and the love of working with his hands. Outside of work, Lloyd enjoyed spending time outdoors. Whether he was tending to his garden or exploring the countryside on his 4-wheeler or motorcycle, he found joy in nature. Most of all, Lloyd cherished his family and each moment that he spent with them.

On March 8, 1969, Lloyd married Rose (Sides) Chitwood in Conway, AR, and she survives. Also surviving are his daughters, Candace (Milton) Butler and Misty (Brian) Berger, all of Harviell; a sister, Donna Stier of Franklinton, LA; grandchildren, Kody Berger and Chastity McComb; and great-grandchildren, Aries, Penelope, Caden, Micah, and Levi.

In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by his siblings, Roberta Wisdom and Marlin Chitwood.

The family will have a private memorial at a later date.
