Tommie V. Weatherford, 80, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Tommie was born on November 4, 1944, in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late Irene and Pleas Thomas.

On July 7, 1962, she married David Roy Luye in Naylor, MO. He preceded her in death. She then married Stuart Weatherford on December 20, 1991, in Doniphan, Mo. He also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Tommie Weatherford was a faithful servant of God and a true testament to the joy of Jesus. She attended Pilgrim’s Rest Church and loved studying her Bible as well as listening to gospel music. Her hobbies included sewing, crafting, gardening, doing puzzles, and traveling. She loved spending time with her family. You would often find her playing and being goofy with grandchildren or great grandchildren and enjoying every second of it.

She is survived by her siblings, Barbara Little and Henry (Donna) Thomas; her children, Debbie (Jim) Willis, Patty (Kevin) Gray, and David (Shannon) Luye; and her grandchildren, April (Terry) Slayton, Jessica (Marty) Czerwonka, Lindsey (Jared) Hancock, Krystal Gray, Sheena (Tommy) Adams, Brittany Gray, Tiffany (Dillion) Richmond, Angelina Gray, Trever (Crystal) Luye, Skyler (Kelcie) Luye, Remington (Ashley) Luye, Kiley (Colton) McLane, and Morgin (Riley) Reed . She is also survived by 33 Great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at noon. Her pastor and grandson-in-law, Jared Hancock, will be officiating. Burial will be in the Naylor Masonic Cemetery.
