Victor Louis Miller, 66-year-old resident of Ellsinore, MO, departed this life Saturday, June 14, 2025. He was born June 29, 1958, in St. Louis, MO, to the late Lou and Virginia (Joplin) Miller.
Victor was a retired chief engineer with Kirby Corporation where he spent many years working aboard towboats navigating the Mississippi River. Beyond his professional life, Victor was a man of many passions. He was an accomplished horseman known for his love and connection with his horses. Victor was a Master Mason with the Grandin Order Masonic Lodge #579, where he built lasting bonds of brotherhood and service. In his personal time, Victor enjoyed quiet time at home with his loyal dog and buddy, Boss. He also had a love for the open road and could often be found exploring on his Harley Davidson. Victor had a special place in his heart for his love of people he had in his life.
Surviving are his sons, Johnny (Leigh) Miller of Doniphan, MO and Victor Burrell of Denver, CO; his brother, John (Brenda) Hancock of Ellsinore, grandchildren, Christian Bailey, Damian Dooley, Richard Hoye, and Dakota Hoye; and great-grandchildren, Kayson Theile and Gracelynn Hoye. Also surviving are his sisters-in-law, Velma Crook, Wanda Bourbon, and Charolette Bourbon of Ellsinore.
In addition to his parents, Victor was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Crook Smith; brothers, Paul Crook, Ray Crook, Eddie Bourbon, and Rance Bourbon; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Crook.
Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, beginning at noon with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will include a Masonic service and a eulogy by Callum Reavey. Burial will be in McRone Cemetery in Grandin.
