Monica Lynn Rongey, 49, of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Monday, June 2, 2025, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. She was born August 6, 1975, in Landstuhl, Germany to Linda (Moran) Swilley and the late James Armstrong.

Monica had been a member of the Doniphan Dollar General team as a retail keyholder, performing administrative tasks, managing customer service, and ensuring that the daily operating of the store went as smoothly as possible.

On May 15, 1999, Monica married Darrell Ray “D. J.” Rongey, Jr., and he survives. Also surviving is her mother and stepfather, Linda and Luther Swilley, Jr., her children, Jerra (Andrew) Kellogg, Brandon Chance Rongey, and Brice Scott; a sister, Joyce Armstrong; brother, Robert Stephen Smith; and grandchildren, Aubrey and Emma Kellogg.

Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
