Donnetta June Teschke, 74, of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Sunday, April 20, 2025. She was born on June 30, 1950, in Doniphan, MO, to John and Glenda (Hicks) Mitchem.

Donnetta was known for her warm spirit, artistic talents, and her deep love for animals. A gifted artist, Donnetta, had an innate ability to express beauty and emotion through her singing, painting, and drawing. She was blessed with a beautiful voice and as a talented artist. Donnetta had worked for the Daily American Republic Newspaper in Poplar Bluff, MO.

Donnetta married Charles Teschke on September 27, 2003, on the Mitchem Family Farm. He survives. Also surviving are her sons, Daniel Alcala of Poplar Bluff, MO and Nicky Alcala; sisters, Cindy Blurton of Michigan, Carol Winebarger of Fredricktown, MO, Barbara Dyle of Desloge, MO, and Judy McDaniel of Massachusetts; brothers, Bobby Mitchem of Hunter and Joe Mitchem of Michigan; and a sister-in-law, Donna Amerlan. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Draven Alcala, Hailey Nicole Alcala, and Nick Ludwig.

Donnetta was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Sue Rousan, and brothers, Johnny Mitchem, Bill Mitchem, James Richard Mitchem, and Donald Ray Mitchem.

Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, April 28, 2025, beginning at 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Nathan Aubuchon will officiate, and burial will be in Hunt-White Memorial Gardens.
