Obituary of Pat Lowery

Patsy “Pat” Anne Lowery, 91-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Sunday, February 13, 2022. She was born September 15, 1930 in Portageville, MO to the late Louis and Anna Mabel (Hurley) McAnally.

 

Pat was known by many in our area for her service as administrator of the Doniphan Nutrition Center and for initiating the Ripley County Transit. She had a warm smile and kind and loving personality that endeared her to all who met her. Pat enjoyed reading, knitting, and making clothes. She also liked to travel. Pat attended West Point United Pentecostal Church.

 

In 1952 Pat married Harold “Pete” Lowery in Corning, AR. He preceded her in death in June, 1980. She was also preceded by her daughter and son-in-law, Twyla and Pat McCollumn; son, Stan Lowery; sisters, Millie Brown, Doris Hoggard, Sue Anderson, Joan Berry, and Modesta Shaw; and brothers, Wyvonne McAnally, L. B. McAnally, and Larry McAnally.

 

Surviving are her sons, Bruce (Joan) Lowery and Mark (Cheryl) Lowery, all of Doniphan; her daughter-in-law, Linda Lowery, also of Doniphan; and her brother, Laddie McAnnally of Shepherd, TX; Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

 

Visitation will be in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastors Chuck Carr and Charles Carr, Sr. Burial will follow in the Doniphan City Cemetery.
