Obituary of Linda K. Smith
Linda K. Smith, 73-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. She was born September 15, 1948 in Gideon, MO to the late James R. (J.R.) and Nevada E. (Orick) Neal.
Linda loved her family and had a special bond with her nieces and nephews. She loved baby animals and would willingly dog-sit for her nephew, Zack. She had her own cat, Pretty, who kept her company. Linda also enjoyed listening to a wide variety of music and working puzzles with word searches being a favorite.
On December 20, 1992, Linda married Russell Smith in Oates, MO. He preceded her in death on December 6, 2011.
Surviving are her siblings, Stephanie Epstein of Doniphan, Elroyce (Debbie) Neal of Bloomfield, MO, and Joe (Patty) Neal of Garwood; her nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own, Josh White, Hannah Hayden, Zack Epstein, Amy Manning, Jamie Neal, Mandy Mooney, Jason Neal, Brandon Neal, Austin Neal, Cody Neal, Tyler Struyk, Larry Struyk, and Alleesha Gloyd.
Visitation will be in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, February 12, 2022 beginning at 9:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Brother Jesse Roy will be officiating. Burial will be in the Bernie Cemetery.
