Katherine Rose Bodkin, 68, of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Tuesday, December 21, 2021. She was born March 1, 1953 in Morristown, TN to the late Robert and Evelyn (Harris) Bentley.
Katherine had worked at Vitronic. She loved people, loved her family, and especially loved her children and grandchildren. Katherine enjoyed going to flea markets, playing Bingo, and being at the river. She was of the Baptist faith.
On February 15, 1974, Katherine married Jim Bodkin in Doniphan. He survives. Also surviving are her children, Angelia Casteel of Doniphan, Sean Rudd, also of Doniphan, Jimmy Bodkin of O’Fallon, MO, Chad Bodkin of Virginia Beach, VA, and Dustin Bodkin of Doniphan; a sister, Bobbie (Steve) Coslet of Michigan City, IN; a brother, David (Christina) Bentley of Bennett, NC; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 beginning at noon with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Monty Flanigan will be officiating, and burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.
