Obituary of Lloyd Dewaine Bagwill, Jr.

Mr. Lloyd (Dewaine) Bagwill, Jr age 75 of Doniphan, Missouri passed away on December 8, 2021. He was born on December 27, 1945 in Doniphan, Missouri to Bettie Lucille Bagwill and the late Lloyd Bagwill, Sr. He was a member of the Wilson Church of Christ for decades and was a long-standing member of the Doniphan Church of Christ. Professionally, he was a graduate of Harding University and was employed as an educator for 24 years, having experience teaching middle school. While teaching, he helped organize and begin many different school activities to benefit students, a candy sale fundraiser for 8th grade students to finance their end of school activities, and he was responsible for organization and chaperoning the annual 8th grade trip. Dewaine was preceded in death by his wife Wanda Lou (Freeman) Bagwill and father Lloyd Bagwill, Sr. His survivors include his mother Bettie Bagwill, daughter Sandy (Glynn) Dilbeck of Gallatin, TN; daughter Stacy (Gary) McGahee of Gallatin, TN; son Tracy (Christy) Bagwill of Shelbyville, Illinois; 5 grandchildren Marissa (Christian) Dilbeck Wells of Castilian Springs, TN; Kyle Bagwill of Ballwin, MO; Garrett (Ashleigh) Dilbeck of Lafayette, TN; Katelyn Bagwill of Ballwin, MO; Madison McGahee of Gallatin, TN; and five great-grandchildren Clayton Shrum, Eliza Dilbeck, and Braydyn Dilbeck of Lafayette TN; Emberly Wells and Rowan Wells of Castilian Springs, TN, and one brother Lance (Kathy) Bagwill. He will be missed by not only loved ones, but by boundless numbers of students, friends and acquaintances. Visitation will be Saturday from 11am to 12pm, Funeral will follow at 12pm. Burial will be at the Shirley Cemetery (8 miles west on HWY 160). Condolences may be sent to the family at Edwards Funeral Home.
