Danny Franklin Kennon, 68-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. He was born April 29, 1953 in Doniphan to the late Benjamin F. and Glenda “Willien” (Mackley) Kennon.
Danny was a logger and sawmiller. He liked to be outdoors working, hunting, and enjoying Current River. He also had a love for animals, especially his dogs. Danny had a knack for working on equipment. He also liked truck pulls and auctions.
On July 22, 1972, Danny married Kathy O’Neal. She survives. Also surviving are his two children, Angel Kennon-Spencer and Wes (Amber) Kennon; a brother, Kenny (Beverly) Kennon; and his grandchildren, Wyatt, Waylon, Marley, Carter, Josey, and Briley.
In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by a sister, Benny Sue Kennon, and a brother, Tony Harrison Kennon.
Visitation will be in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Wilson Cemetery.
