Obituary of Linda Green

Linda Green, 73-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life, Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR with her family by her side. She was born September 9, 1947 to the late Gilbert and Helen (Knutson) Crocker. Linda had worked at Ripley County Memorial Hospital in the billing and clerical department. She was active in the community as a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary #3485. She also enjoyed being with friends in the Red Hat Society. Linda loved to cook, garden, and can the produce reaped from the rewards of her “green thumb”. She took pleasure in feeding and watching hummingbirds. Linda liked country music and would dance and sing karaoke. She was of the Church of Christ faith. On September 10, 1966, Linda married Wally Green in Belvidere. He survives. Also surviving are her children, Troy (Jera) Green and Stacy (Angela) Green; her sisters, Patricia Brenz, Jean Schmidt, Marge Yerk, and Peggy Osgood; as well as six grandchildren, Abbey, and Austin, Ryland, Samuel, Chance, and Connor; and one great-grandchild, Kasen. Linda was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Crocker and Danny Crocker, and one sister, Nancy Johnson. Visitation will be at Edwards Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 beginning at 9:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Ponder Cemetery.
