Obituary of Sue Bell

Margaret Sue Bell departed this life Sunday, May 23, 2021. She was born September 5, 1946 in Butler County to W. C. Marsh and the late Ethel (Watson) Marsh and had achieved the age of 74 years, 8 months, and 18 days. Sue was a very accomplished quilt maker and seamstress. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, and farming. She loved her family and helped raise many children, always opening her heart and home to anyone in need. She had a very special relationship with Jesus, and she has received her reward in heaven. On December 13, 1963 Sue married James “Jim” Bell in Bardley, MO. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2020. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sherry Ann Bell, and her siblings, Edna Wilkerson, Ronnie Marsh, and Robert Marsh. Surviving are her son and daughter, Thomas (May) Bell of Kansas City, MO and Paula (Joey) Wilkerson of Alton, MO; seven grandchildren, Eric Bell of Doniphan, MO, James Bell, III of Kansas City, Joey Wilkerson, Jr. of Alton, Dylan Wilkerson of West Plains, MO, Cody (Alyssa) Wilkerson of Couch, MO, Jeremy Wilkerson of West Plains, and Paul Wilkerson of Couch; and great-grandchildren, Benjamin Ruhl, Luke Ruhl, and Erica Bell, all of Doniphan, Isaac Bell of Handy, MO, James “Ollie” Bell, IV, Jayden Bell and Emily Bell, all three of Kansas City, MO, and Hunter Wilkerson of Alton. Also surviving are her siblings Shirley (Rosco) Day of Kansas, Lindel (Cathy) Marsh of Moberly, MO, and Roy Marsh of Doniphan. Visitation will be at Edwards Funeral Home on Thursday, May 27, 2021 beginning at 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Bardley Cemetery.
