Wilburn Lee Baucom, Sr., 74-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO departed this life Monday, December 21, 2020 at St. Bernards Five Rivers Medical Center in Pocahontas, AR. He was born December 21, 1946 in Columbia, MO to the late Riley and Eva Mae (House) Baucom. Wilburn was a member of the Doniphan Church of Christ and enjoyed studying the Bible and had served as a minister. He liked to spend time with his family and liked to hunt and fish. Wilburn served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. On December 21, 1968, Wilburn married Linda Helms in Doniphan. She survives. Also surviving are his children Lisa (Greg) Ellis of Manila, AR, Wilburn (Jennifer) Baucom, Jr. and Daniel (Jamie) Baucom, all of Doniphan; sisters, Carlene Attebery of Centralia, MO, Rebecca Taft and Etta Bazzell, both of Columbia; his brothers, Ronnie Baucom of Fulton, MO, Steve Baucom of Mexico, MO, Harold LaRoe and Dean LaRoe, both of Columbia; his grandchildren, Olevia (Jeff) Flemming, Alissa Hughes, Adam Hughes, Maguire Baucom, Maddox Baucom, Matheny Baucom, Royce Baucom, Gracelyn Baucom, and Jayda Baucom; and a foreign exchange student who was considered a member of the family, Markus Brandt. Wilburn was preceded in death by one daughter, Shauna Baucom; a sister, Elizabeth Nichols; and brothers, Jimmy Baucom, Howard Baucom, and Robert Baucom; and his stepfather, Russell LaRoe. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 12-2 PM at the Doniphan Church of Christ. The funeral service will be held at 2 PM also at the Church with Steve Sanders officiating. Burial will be in the Ingram Cemetery.
