Obituary of Irene E. MacMurray

Irene MacMurray, 73, of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Friday, November 27, 2020. She was born September 26, 1947 in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ to the late Elizabeth Sickles Summerton. Irene enjoyed painting and crafts and excelled in working crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. She attended West Point United Pentecostal Church.
On December 21, 1962, Irene married Lawrence A. MacMurray, Sr. He preceded her in death on August 18, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Robert Summerton, and one granddaughter, Irene Elizabeth Hinkle, III.
Surviving are her children, Irene (Dale) Hinkle of Doniphan, Lawrence A. (Tiffany) MacMurray, Jr., also of Doniphan, Edwin (Tammy) MacMurray of Virginia, and Robert MacMurray of Texas; a sister Lindalee Patterson of New Jersey; a brother, Frank Sickles of Mountain View, AR; two half-brothers, Robert Boyce and Jack Summerton; as well as 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one special niece, Piper Patterson.
Visitation will be Friday, December 4, 2020 at noon at Edwards Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Brother Chuck Carr will be officiating. Burial will be in Pope Chapel.
