Obituary of Dwyane King

Irvin Dwyane King, 84-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Delta Regional Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo. He was born March 13, 1936 in Doniphan to the late Oval and Ola (Patterson) King. Dwyane served in the National Guard and graduated from Doniphan High School. He graduated from Bailey Technical School in St. Louis and then worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation where he retired in 1988. Dwyane was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church and chairman of Senior Sonshiners group and a trustee for 20 years. He enjoyed and appreciated his church family. Dwyane enjoyed hunting deer and rabbits, fishing, and working on cars. On September 22, 1956, Dwyane married Wanda Dalton in Doniphan. She preceded him in death on April 19, 1999. On May 1, 2002, he married Marie Ivy. She survives. Also surviving are his children, Brenda (Nace) Pigg and Ron (Robin) King, both of Doniphan; two grandchildren, Michael (Megan) Pigg and Ethan (Hattie) King, also of Doniphan; and great-grandchildren, Miken and Mason Pigg, and on December 24, 2020 Taryn King will be added to the family. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 10, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.at Edwards Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Jimmy Cooper officiating. Burial will be in the Doniphan City Cemetery.
