Obituary of Dennis Ketchem

Please share a memory of Dennis to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Dennis Allen Ketchem, 66, of Doniphan, MO, departed this world on Monday, October 5, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife, Roma (Staggs) Ketchem, his parents, Robert and Evelyn (Siefert) Ketchem, and his sister, Paula Jean Ketchem. Dennis left behind many loved ones including three daughters, Lisa Bohannon, Regina Bryant (Jerry Bice), and Jennifer (Wade) Smith. Also, Dennis had two sons, Tony (Jessica) Ketchem and Wade Ketchem. Dennis had 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Along with children and grandchildren, Dennis left behind four brothers, Robert (Sharron) Ketchem of Texas, Gary (Dianne) Ketchem of Wheatfield, IN, Thomas (Sue) Ketchem of Demotte, IN, and Scott (Stephanie) Ketchem of Merrillville, IN. Dennis also had many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends that he treasured dearly. Dennis was of the Christian faith: so, we can have peace knowing he is in the arms of the Lord and finally reunited with his wife, Roma. He loved the outdoors, tinkering, and hunting. Of all Dennis’s many accomplishments, being “Dad and Grandpa” made him most proud. Dennis was a Vietnam Veteran and served his country proudly. Dennis never announced it, but his service was volunteered. His first choice as a duty station was overseas. He was not drafted and that made him and his family extremely proud. Dennis was an amazing man and a true patriot. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 9, 2020 with the funeral service following at 1:00. All will be outside at VFW Post 3485. Pastor Steve Proctor will be officiating.
