Sherian Kaye Swift Sherian Kaye Swift, 56-year-old resident of Doniphan died Friday, June 15, 2007 in Springfield, MO at the home of her brother. She was born September 3, 1951 in Deering, MO and had formally lived in Sikeston and Pemiscot County. She worked in the truck brokerage business and was of the protestant faith. She was the first female Chickamauga Cherokee Native American Chief. She showed horses and was a champion barrel racer. On August 11, 2005 in Doniphan, she was married to Larry Swift, who survives. Also surviving is her father and his wife, Charles and Clara Rikard of Sparks, OK; one son, Christopher Shawn Hundhausen of Caruthersville, MO; one daughter, Robin Donnelly of Ridge Manor, FL; two brothers, Charles Olen Rikard and Ricky Dean Rikard both of Springfield, MO; one half brother David Rikard of Salina, KA; one half sister Nancy Davis of Salina, KA; grandchildren, Hailey, Kelsey, and Sydney Hundhausen, Lacey Strickland, Chris Strickland, and Casey Gillespie. She was preceded in death by her mother, Azure Bonds Rikard. Funeral services for Mrs. Swift will held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 18, 2007 at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Melton officiating. Burial will be in the Hunt-White Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 5-8 P.M.
