Obituary of Virgil Stratton

Lee Stratton, 72, of Carter County, Missouri, died Friday March 26, 2010, at his residence in Carter County.
Mr. Stratton was born June 25, 1937, in Carter County, Missouri. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and enjoyed gardening. Mr. Stratton was an U.S. Army veteran having served with the Engineering Unit in Germany.
Survivors include one son, Paul Stratton, of Granite City, Illinois; four sisters, Vada Krajovich of Ellisnore, Missouri, Beverly Ard of White, Georgia, Balinda Emmons of Illinois and Marcy Stratton of Texas; one brother, Donald Lowe, of Granite City, Illinois; two grandsons, Steven and Sammy Stratton; and four great- grandsons.
Mr. Stratton was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Virgie (Wall) Lowe, Elmer Stratton and two brothers, Ray Stratton and Ronald Lowe.
Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Sunday March 28, 2010, at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2010, at the funeral home with Brother Hubert Payne officiating. Burial will be at Doniphan City Cemetery.
