Thelma was a very dear friend of my mother Norma. During Norma's illness Thelma came to our side guiding us both through a very difficult time. Thelma single handedly organized a prayer group to aid in Norma's recovery which to this day has still given my mother strength in life. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during your loss of Thelma. She will always hold a special memory to us for all her love and support she has given our family over the years as well as the strength she has given to so many others. Our Deepest Sympathy, Teresa Timmons Luna and Norma Timmons

I spoke to Mrs. Mac a couple of weeks ago for helping my Mother after a bad fall. She was always helping others. I have very fond memories of Mr. and Mrs. Mac and Paul and I will always remember her kindness and compassion. Her devotion to her family was infinite. She was truly a lady and we will miss her.

Thelma was an incredible person and her "cousins" could always count on a hug anytime they saw her. We will definitely miss her and her seemingly endless knowledge of McManus family history. The Wilson Cemetary meetings will never be the same. This is a great loss to the whole community as she was such a valuable and tireless worker in her adopted hometown! May God richly bless you all. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Thelma was one of the first people I met when I moved to Doniphan. We met while shopping at a local grocery. She had a smile and warm welcome for everyone she encountered. She did much for this area and made us all proud. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. Thelma will be missed by all who knew her.

Thelma is responsible for legislation to protect and preserve cemeteries in Missouri. She lobbied then Rep Joe Driskill to pass the House Bill. After passing the Senate, it was signed into law by Gov Mel Carnahan. She recruited me and my truck to take her to many abandoned cemeteries across Ripley County. She is such a Great and Noble Lady!

Mrs McManus will be missed. I worked for her at the Junior High Library in the 1960s, she was a wonderful person. I loved talking to her about geneology and she was never too busy to help me. God bless you Mrs Mcmanus.

Thelma will be greatly missed. She was a wonderful citizen in Ripley County. She was very compassionate and that was shown in her many volunteer hours at the nursing homes. I will personally miss her greetings at church. She was so good on checking on folks to see how they were. She served God, her country and county well. She is with Paul and Mac now and at rest. My deepest sympathy to all the family. Jan

To Thelma's family. She was a joy to know and was so kind and thoughtful toward others. She kept us informed about our own Ripley County, even to the ones that was born here. You can be very proud of her. May the Lord's Blessings be with you and your families at this time and give you peace in the days to come. Fayrene
