Eleanor Roe, 91, of Doniphan died Friday, April 13, 2007, at St. Louis University Hospital.
Mrs. Roe was born June 8, 1915, in Chicago to the late Herman & Emma (Riedlinger) Stangenberg. A homemaker, she had resided in Doniphan since 1988 and in Ripley County since 1970. She was a member of the Ripley County Republican Women and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 3485.
On July 1, 1968, she married Elmer Roe in Chicago. He preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 1998.
Mrs. Roe was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Herman Stangenberg Jr.
Visitation will begin at 10 am Monday, April 16, 2007, at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan, followed by the funeral at 11 am with the Rev. Charles Kelly officiating. A private burial will be held.
