William Herbert Catlow, Jr., 69, of Fremont, Missouri, died Saturday, February 18, 2017, at his residence in rural Ripley County.
Mr. Catlow, son of William Herbert and Eileen (Carpenter) Catlow, Sr., was born October 21, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri. He had been a nurse. Mr. Catlow enjoyed weaving, raising chickens, singing at church and helping people in need. He was a member of the Handy Church in Handy, Missouri. Mr. Catlow was retired from the U. S. Army and had served a tour of duty in Vietnam.
On September 17, 2013, he was married to Vicki Kauffman at Handy Church and she survives.
Also surviving are 3 daughters: Kathryn Catlow of Jefferson City, Missouri, Karen Persoon of St. Roberts, Missouri, and Kimberly Dixon of Patton, Missouri; 4 step-children, Jason Kauffman of Jefferson City and Joshua Brewer, Jonathan Brewer and Joyce Sandlin, all of Doniphan, Missouri; 3 sisters, Eileen Heard, Patty Adams and Theresa Glover; 2 brothers, Joseph Catlow of Farmington, Missouri, and Michael Catlow of Mexico, Missouri; and 18 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
