Stanley Joe Wilson, 55, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Wilson, son of Cecil Samuel and Willie Cloe Wilson (Brooks) was born December 5, 1961 in Doniphan. He graduated from Doniphan High School in 1980 and was employed at Klepzig sawmill for two years before moving to Borger, Texas, where he was a member of Borger Fire Department.
Mr. Wilson returned to Missouri and worked at the Proctor and Gamble plant in Cape Girardeau.
He enjoyed deer and turkey hunting and placed first in a local contest sponsored by Smith's for turkey with the longest beard. Mr. Wilson was a member of River Valley Community Church
Surviving are one sister, Janice Reeves (and Gary), two brothers, Alan Wilson (and Kathy) and Lyndal Wilson (and Carol), all of Doniphan. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Douglas Wilson and Gary Wilson.
Visitation will begin at noon, Saturday, January 14th at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Wilson Cemetery with Brother Alan Wilson officiating.
