Louise McPheeters Wright Louise McPheeters Wright, age 100, a loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016. Mrs. Wright was a former long-time resident of Poplar Bluff and Doniphan, Missouri. She moved over ten years ago to Laurens, South Carolina to be with her daughter and son in-law and was currently residing at Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Community in Laurens. She was born December 23, 1916, in Wolf Island, Missouri to the late Lindsey Claude and Effie Camp Ringo. Mrs. Wright attended William Woods College in Fulton, Missouri and was a member of Doniphan United Methodist Church. Surviving are her six grandchildren whom she loved spending time with: Elisabeth Louise Chiles, James Walter McPheeters, IV, Cammie Stringer Garrett, Jonathan Wright McPheeters, Patrick Wright Stringer, and Carrie Stringer Pulley; her fifteen great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter, whom she was very proud of; and a son in-law, Paul William “Bill” Stringer. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her two husbands, Dr. James Walter McPheeters, Jr. and William L. Wright and her two children, James Walter McPheeters, III and Becky McPheeters Stringer. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Doniphan, Missouri conducted by Rev. Kent Wilfong with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home one hour prior to the service on Thursday. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at Martha Franks Rasor Chapel in Laurens, SC conducted by Dr. Russell Dean and Rev. Lawton Neely. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Laurens County, PO Box 178, Clinton, SC 29325. The family wishes to say a special thank you to the wonderful caregivers that lovingly cared for Mrs. Wright over the past several years.
